Mercedes Mone made her AEW debut this week on Dynamite, following several weeks of speculation. Prior to her debut, Mone appeared on the Kick Rocks podcast, where she said that she expected to return to WWE one day. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, these comments managed to “rub a lot of people the wrong way”. Opinion: I can definitely see how these comments would not go so well, as it comes off like Mone is saying she’s just in AEW until she can go where she really wants to be. That isn’t the best way to look before you are coming into a new promotion and hopefully it doesn’t cause any major issues. Mone is a star who could do a lot of good things for AEW and it would be a shame for that to fall apart before it can go anywhere.
What do you think of the comments? How should AEW use Mone? Let us know in the comments below.
