It’s a new world. Earlier this month, Endeavor announced that it has purchased WWE and would be merging it into the UFC to form a new company. This is going to open up all kinds of new doors for WWE and it remains to be seen where all of these changes are going to go. We might already be seeing where one such change is leading, and it would be quite the major change.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: A Bit Longer: Update On Ronda Rousey’s Injury Status
According to PW Insider Elite, WWE and ESPN have been in discussions about renewing their relationship. There is no word on how far the discussions have gone but there is no currently discussion about a weekly WWE series airing on the network. The talks are said to still be in the early stages and they are trying to figure out what the two sides could work together to do. ESPN has covered WWE content before, though mainly only with highlights.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that could happen more and more often as WWE goes forward. The new owners are going to make all kinds of a difference in various negotiations and open a lot of doors. WWE has long since been the dominant force in wrestling but this is the first time that they have had a major company doing a lot of its fighting for them. It could be a very interesting future and that could be a good thing.
