They can talk. There are several things that come together to make a wrestler into a star ad one of the most important is the ability to talk. Wrestlers need to be able to engage with the audience and make the fans care about what they are doing. Some wrestlers have turned this into an art form and now we know something else about a few wrestlers who did just that this week.

This week’s Monday Night Raw featured a segment involving CM Punk, Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins speaking to each other, which saw Punk named as guest commentator for McIntyre vs. Rollins at WrestleMania 40. According to Fightful Select, the three were given a general outline of what to say but were not given specifics lines. This was done to allow the wrestlers better freedom of expression. There was also no issue with Punk’s profanity in the segment.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that has not happened very often in recent years in WWE and it is nice to see it happening again. The three of them have shown that they are capable of handling themselves on the microphone and there is little reason to tie them up with a bunch of lines that they wouldn’t say. It isn’t for everyone, but the people who can make it work can make it work very well.
