He isn’t happy. There are all kinds of people who come together to make a wrestling promotion work and one of the most important is the person who controls the finances. Without a good amount of money, there is only so much a promotion is able to do. That person is going to have a lot of control, and now one of the more prominent names in wrestling is not happy with a certain situation.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’s Up: Positive News For Cody Rhodes’ Current WWE Status
This week, AEW officially opened its pre-sale for All In at Wembley Stadium, reportedly selling over 30,000 tickets in one day. ESPN reporter Mike Coppinger responded that he was “hearing Wembley is scaled for only 40k for AEW”. AEW President Tony Khan responded, calling Coppinger’s statement “LIES. What a load of crap.” Tony also referred to WWE CEO Nick Khan as Coppinger’s agent. Tony went on to question Coppinger’s sources and asking how he could tweet out something “so blatantly wrong”. Coppinger has not responded to Tony.
Hearing Wembley is scaled for only 40K for AEW – far cry from last April when I was ringside for Tyson Fury-Dillian Whyte and it was packed to the brim with 94,000. Nothing beats the big-fight feel at Wembley

LIES. What a load of crap. Tell your agent Nick Khan to shove it up his ass

Since you carry the credentials of a credible reporter + represent the Worldwide Leader, I'm just curious: who was your source for this, and how can a reporter representing ESPN tweet something about a legit news story that's so blatantly wrong and easily verified as a falsehood?

This might be a better look. Check out some of Tony’s time in AEW:
Opinion: This is one of those instances where Tony might be doing more harm than good. Assuming what Coppinger said is inaccurate, Tony could be much better suited by just saying something along the lines of “this is inaccurate”, end of statement. Tony has a bit of a history of going hard with responding like this, and it rarely makes him or AEW look good either way.
