According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE may have changed their planned main event for NXT Battleground on June 9. The original plan called for Trick Williams to defend the NXT Title against Noam Dar, but Dar was attacked earlier this month. Williams was then attacked by Gallus this week, suggesting a match between Williams and a member of the team, though nothing has been announced. There is always the chance that Williams vs. Dar could still be announced for the show.
Williams is going to do something. Check out what he has been doing lately:
Opinion: I’m not sure where this is going, as Gallus’ main singles star, Joe Coffey, is already set for a North American Title shot at Battleground. Dar vs. Williams still seems to be the most likely match, though at the same time there are only so many shows left to get things going before the show. Williams needs a big time opponent for his title defense and that kind of an opponent needs to be set up rather quickly.
