Sometimes you need to mix things up. The weekend of WrestleMania is the biggest, most exciting few days of wrestling all year long. There is so much wrestling going on, not just from WWE, that it’s pure overload. While there are all kinds of wrestling to be seen, there is no doubt that WWE is the main event. However, next year is going to be seeing a few changes, possibly due to another show taking place at the same time.

According to PWInsider.com by way of 411mania.com, WWE will be changing its schedule over WrestleMania 35 weekend, with Takeover: New York airing on Friday night instead of Saturday and the Hall of Fame induction ceremony doing the opposite. The Saturday night show would have been up against the NJPW/ROH show from Madison Square Garden. This was the original schedule in 2016 in Dallas but the changed schedule was used for the next two years.

Friday night has been good for Takeover. Check out this classic from Takeover: Dallas:

Opinion: I don’t know if WWE is changing their schedule because of the NJPW/ROH show but it’s not the worst idea in the world. That show is going to draw a big audience and it’s nice for the fans to have the chance to see both shows instead of just one. At least there is an opening now, and that’s a good sign for the NJPW/ROH show. If they’re even having some kind of an influence on the WWE, they’re doing something right.
