That would have been a big change. We are less than a week away from WWE’s annual Money In The Bank event. The show will feature two of the show’s namesake matches, which can be quite the game changer for any wrestler’s career. Winning one of the briefcases all but guarantees someone to be a big deal for awhile to come. Now we have found out that one participant barely survived last year.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Star Receives Applause Following Monday Night Raw Match

LA Knight is set to participate in this weekend’s men’s Money In The Bank ladder match. Knight was recently interviewed by Chris Van Vliet and revealed that he was almost fired last year. While he did not get into the details of why, Knight said he believed he had been fired but not officially told about it. He then received a FaceTime message saying that WWE wanted to use him and he was never let go. This was believed to be around the time that his Max Dupri character did not work out and before he was allowed to return to being Knight.

Knight is a star whenever he is around. Check out what he has been doing lately:

Opinion: It’s very nice to hear that WWE didn’t go through with something like this, as Knight has long since felt like a breakout star in the making. He is someone who could be pushed quite a bit higher in the company almost immediately and there is a good chance that it will happen later this week at Money In The Bank. The fact that he was almost gone from the company to this level in about a year is downright remarkable and a perfect wrestling story.

What do you think of Knight’s recent run? How far will he go in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
