Surprise Return Takes Place At WWE Extreme Rules

Welcome back. There are certain things in wrestling that are almost always going to get some great reactions. One of the strongest can be a return, as wrestlers coming back can throw a huge wrench into any kind of a story. Some of them are out of nowhere and that was the case again this weekend, as a major star made their return to the ring out of absolutely nowhere.

WWE’s Extreme Rules included a SmackDown Women’s Title match with Becky Lynch defending against Bianca Belair. Late in the match, former SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks made her return to cost Belair the match via DQ. This was Banks’ first appearance since August, when she was scheduled to challenge Belair at Summerslam. Lynch took Banks’ place in the match and defeated her to win the title.

Opinion: This is one of those returns that had to happen sooner or later as Belair is one of those names who can do her thing against anyone. She fits right into the story and I’m curious to see where they go with a potential three way feud. We could be in for a good story between all of them and that is one of those things that can go well no matter who is put in there.
