It’s time to move on. The Coronavirus has changed a lot of the WWE’s reality and that is going to be the case for a long time to come. WWE has been unable to run events outside of the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida for about five months now and that has caused quite a few issues. Things may be about to change, though maybe not as much as it could.
One of the biggest problems with staying inside the Performance Center is the pure size issue. The Performance Center is not a very big venue and you can see that being the case on television. While it is a nice thing to see for WWE, it doesn’t exactly showcase the company in the biggest and brightest light. It was clear that WWE needed to change things up and that is what they are going to do soon.
According to F4WOnline.com, Summerslam will be held in the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. This comes after plans to hold the show in Atlantic City, New Jersey to fall through. Also, according to PWInsider.com, the Amway center will be the home for WWE television tapings going forward following Summerslam. The show may also include virtual fans, which have been used at Major League Baseball fans since the start of the 2020 season.
The company has been there before. Check out some of WWE’s time in the Amway Center:
Opinion: They have to do something like this and the Amway Center is going to be an upgrade. It is a major arena and gives WWE some extra space to work in. You can only do so much in the Performance Center and having the virtual fans could mean a nice change of pace. Hopefully WWE can make it work, because this is a move that they need to make for the sake of making TV feel better.
