He’s #1. Merchandise has been around wrestling for a very long time and that makes all the sense in the world. Fans want to buy things that allow them to show their support for their favorite wrestlers and the promotion gets some money as a result. WWE has been a huge merchandise distributor for a long time now and there is someone familiar on top of the merchandise sales list.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter with data from Wrestlenomics, Reigns was at the top of last week’s merchandise sellers lists, followed by Steve Austin, the NWO, Eddie Guerrero and Cody Rhodes. This comes as Reigns and Rollins are the reigning World Champions in WWE. In recent months, Rhodes had been the top merchandise seller, following only general WWE merchandise.

Opinion: None of these names are the biggest surprise, as Reigns and Rhodes are current main event stars, Austin has his own reality show on the air at the moment, the NWO is one of the most legendary stables of all time and Guerrero is tied into the LWO. There is something interesting about seeing such a variety of stars here, as WWE continues to have all kinds of merchandise available.
