Welcome to the fold? There are a lot of stars on the AEW roster as the company has put together quite the mixture. AEW features young, up and coming stars, current stars and veterans, who have come together to form a deep roster. The company has also added different wrestlers throughout its history and now we have a pair of stars coming in, at least for one night.
This week on AEW Dynamite, Sonjay Dutt announced that the Motor City Machine Guns would be making their AEW debuts at All Out, teaming with Jay Lethal against FTR and Wardlow. Dutt had previously implied that he and Satnam Singh would be joining Lethal in the match but this week he said it was never made official. The Motor City Machine Guns are two time Impact Wrestling and one time Ring Of Honor Tag Team Champions.
Opinion: This was a nice surprise, but it does raise some questions. AEW promoted Singh, Lethal and Dutt as the opponents but then switched with about a week and a half to go. The Guns are a major upgrade, though I’m curious as to why the switch was made. That being said, I’ll take the Guns in this spot over Dutt and Singh, as one is mostly retired and Singh hasn’t shown he is ready for that kind of a spot.
