That’s a pretty reliable source. One of the bigger wrestling stories this year has been the return of Daniel Bryan. After three years away from the ring, he returned to action at WrestleMania 34 and is still looking awesome. This is going to include the top match on a lot of fans’ wish list as Bryan will be facing the Miz this Sunday at Summerslam. However, there’s a chance that it may be his last big match, as his contract expires on September 1. Will he re-sign? Well, let’s ask him.

Bryan appeared on a recent episode of the Sam Roberts Podcast where he was asked about whether he will re-sign with the company. While Bryan did confirm that he hadn’t re-signed, he did say that it would be a strong likelihood. Bryan put the chances as high as 90 percent and said that he could be signing a new contract as soon as the end of the week. Here are his comments, with transcription courtesy of 411mania.com:

“I think at this point it’s 90-plus-percent,” Bryan said. “I would say it’s likely I will sign with WWE…I have not re-signed yet, but it could happen as soon as the end of this week, and it might be a couple more weeks or whatever it is.”

When he walked that aisle.

Opinion: I’ll believe it when I see it for sure, but this does seem to indicate that Bryan will be around a little while longer. Maybe WWE is just trying to throw this out there to make you believe that Bryan is sticking around so that the shock when Miz wins is that much better, but there’s also the chance that this is legitimate. I hope Bryan sticks around, but if he doesn’t, hopefully his career goes well.

Do you think Bryan is sticking around? Who should win on Sunday? Let us know in the comments below.
