That’s a good sign. There are several famous wrestlers throughout the history of the industry but there are only a few who reach that legendary status. These are the names who are going to be remembered for a very long time to come and it is because of everything that they have done throughout their career. That is the case with a name who just made his debut with a new promotion, and things are already looking up.
Sting made his debut during this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. The debut was a surprise, with Sting showing up to save Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin from an attack at the hands of Team Taz. It was quite the moment and seems to have been fairly well received, though there was something else that you might not have noticed about the debut which went rather well.
Pro Wrestling Tees has announced that Sting’s first ever AEW shirt has set a record for the most shirts sold in a 24 hour period, with the caption mentioning that the day was not over yet. This comes after WWE pulled all of Sting’s merchandise from its online store due to the two sides not being able to come to a new agreement. There is no word on what Sting will be doing next in AEW.
It was a heck of a start. Check out Sting’s AEW debut:
Opinion: That’s great to see for Sting and shows you that AEW is interested in seeing him in the promotion. I’m curious to see what Sting is going to do around there, but what matters is that fans want to see him. It was an impressive debut though, so well done on being off to a good start. Hopefully things go well, because Sting is someone who has to be used properly, especially given his current health status.
