Still Waiting: Medical Update On AEW's Kenny Omega (And It's Not Good)

On the mend. There are all kinds of health issues that a wrestler might face and many of them are caused by what they do in the ring. At the same time there are several health issues that can happen which have nothing to do with wrestling. Unfortunately that is the case with a top AEW star and now we have a less than positive update on what is going on with him.

AEW’s Kenny Omega has been out of action since December with diverticulitis. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is no timetable for his return to the ring and there is no word on whether or not he will need surgery. Omega recently announced that he had suffered a setback in his recovery and required more emergency treatment. Should Omega need surgery, he will need several months to recover.

Opinion: That is terrible to hear as you never want to see anyone left out of the ring for such a long time, especially for something so horrible. Omega has already been out of action for more than three months and it could be a good many more months before he is able to return. There isn’t much that he can do but wait and unfortunately that could be going on for a long time.
