Still At It: Vince McMahon’s “Fingerprints” Reportedly On This Week’s WWE Monday Night Raw

The boss is back? The biggest wrestling story of the year has been the sale of WWE to Endeavor. For the first time ever, WWE will have a parent company and Vince McMahon will not be the top person in charge. At the same time, McMahon will certainly wield quite a bit of power, some of which you might be able to see from week to week going forward. That was the case this week.

According to PWInsider.com, prior to the show, this week’s Monday Night Raw was scheduled to have “Vince McMahon’s fingerprints on it”, though there is no word on how much of what McMahon wanted got onto the show. There is a belief backstage that McMahon’s influence on the show will continue to grow as the transition to Endeavor’s ownership continues. McMahon is said to have been making various changes to WWE TV in recent weeks.

Opinion: I don’t think there is much of a secret that McMahon’s influence over the two shows is once again growing, but what matters is finding a plan and sticking to it. There is very little more annoying than having one set of stories one week and another the next. WWE needs to figure out who is running what and go with it, which has been an issue anytime McMahon has been around for years now.
