They’re still at it. We are about two and a half months away from WrestleMania 40 and that means WWE is starting the process of building the show. That includes a variety of stories having to come together to make the biggest WrestleMania possible, which is easier said than done. However, one such major story is rather complicated but WWE appears to be plowing ahead.

Earlier this week, it was announced that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins had suffered a torn MCL and a partially torn meniscus. Prior to the show, WWE was planning for Rollins to face CM Punk at WrestleMania. At the moment, According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is still planning for the match to take place, assuming Rollins does not require surgery to fix his injury. Should Rollins need surgery, he would likely miss WrestleMania. It is not clear what the new plan would be if Rollins is out of the match. Rollins is set to address his status this week on Monday Night Raw.

Opinion: That makes some sense and now the only thing WWE can really do is hope that Rollins is able to make it to WrestleMania. It is a serious injury and you never know how long it might be before he is able to get back in the ring. At the same time, WWE is going to need a contingency plan in case Rollins cannot wrestle, which is where things get that much more interesting.
