Still No: Latest Update On AEW/Ricky Starks Issues, Pulled From Upcoming Events

Not there. While WWE and AEW receive most of the attention in the wrestling world, there are all kinds of other promotions throughout the industry. You will occasionally see stars from the bigger promotions show up in these smaller companies and it can be a big deal. However, that is not going to be the case soon and we now have an idea as to what went wrong.

Game Changer Wrestling has announced that AEW star Ricky Starks has been pulled from all upcoming matches from the promotion. This includes one announced match and two yet to be announce matches. According to Fightul Select, AEW pulled Starks due to comments made by Game Changer Wrestling star Effy about AEW owner Shahid Khan. There is no word on any replacement for Starks, who has not wrestled on AEW television since March.

Opinion: I’m not sure what’s going on with this whole thing but it’s not the best situation. At the end of the day, AEW isn’t using Starks in any way and now he’s being held out of some prominent independent events because of something he didn’t do. It’s not the best look for AEW and hopefully they find a way to make it up to Starks. Like using him on a show or something.
