That’s some praise. Like many other sports, wrestling is full of moments, some of which are remembered far after they take place. It can be a game changing moment for a wrestler to take part in such a moment and you can often tell the feeling when you see one of them take place. That seems to be the case again, as a recent WWE moment was rather well received by someone in quite the high place.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Off The List: WWE Presented This Kind Of Match For The First Time Ever In Company History This Week
On the August 5 Monday Night Raw, Bronson Reed attacked Seth Rollins, giving him six Tsunamis, which resulted in Rollins being taken off television for several weeks. Reed was interviewed by Fightful and spoke about the incident. Reed revealed that he met Triple H after the segment, with Triple H saying that the moment was “going to live forever”, with Reed comparing it to the Austin 3:16 promo, which changed fans’ perceptions of him. Rollins and Reed are set to have their first match against each other this weekend at Crown Jewel.
It was a big deal. Check out Rollins and Reed’s history:
Opinion: Reed very well may be on to something with that kind of a game changer moment, as his career has definitely moved up the ladder since he attacked Rollins. Sometimes you need something like this to become a bigger deal and I could go for seeing where he goes from here. What matters is that WWE is clearly giving him a chance, which is what he needed most.
