Standing Up: WWE Superstars Stand Up For Bianca Belair Following Racist Remark Against Her

They have her back. The WWE Women’s Revolution has changed all kinds of things in the wrestling industry and those changes have been for the better. Women’s wrestling has come a long way, going from little more than a sidehsow to headlining WrestleMania more than once. However, not everything has been solved and now one of the biggest stars in the history of WWE’s women’s division is getting some support from her coworkers.

This week, WWE2K24 was released for all major platforms, with publisher 2K Games posting an image to Instagram, showing cover stars Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley. However, a comment on the post included a racist comment (which will not be printed or shown here) aimed at Belair. This has led to a variety of WWE Superstars showing support for Belair, including the following:

The black women in this industry face a regular barrage of racism & misogyny from “fans.” And have for far too long. You cannot diminish their light. You cannot erase their contributions to this industry.

Bianca is one of the best this business and WORLD has ever seen. When I think of a hard worker, stand out, path paver, and someone who is genuinely a proud representation of her culture, it’s Bianca. She deserves everything she’s gotten and MORE. She EARNED the name EST.

Opinion: This is one of those things where there is one right side and the person who made the comment is on the wrong side. There are only so many things that can be ignored and this is the kind of things that thankfully got the right response. At the end of the day, Belair did nothing to deserve this kind of a reaction but the silver lining is seeing people come to her defense.
