They’re teasing it. We are less than a month away from WrestleMania and that means it is time to start thinking about next year’s edition as well. WWE has quite the selection of options to pick from for the show, which will include bids from cities interested in hosting. That alone makes for an interesting situation, but now one city might have dropped a hint about where the show is going.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: So Soon? SmackDown May Be Leaving FOX A Bit Earlier Than Expected
According to PWInsider.com, Minnesota Sports and Events CEO Wendy Blackshaw spoke at a meeting of the Minnesota House Of Representatives this week. Blackshaw said that a major event is almost set to be announced, which will “provide an economic impact second only to the Super Bowl.” While Blackshaw does not name the event specifically, this comes amid longstanding rumors that Minneapolis would host WrestleMania 41. There is no word on when an announcement of the show’s location will be made.

Opinion: It’s almost weird to see WWE waiting this long to announce the show’s location. Normally this is covered early in the year but we are in a new generation of WWE and that is going to take some adjusting. This makes it feel like we could be seeing Minneapolis get the show and it is long overdue for that part of the country to get a WrestleMania, as the closest anything has come is Chicago almost 20 years ago.
