Special Guests: Two Former WWE Personalities Backstage At This Week's AEW Dynamite

They’re here too. There are all kinds of talented stars in the wrestling world and some of them have worked in a variety of promotions. On the other hand, some of them have worked exclusively for WWE and that can make it a big deal when they show up elsewhere. That is something that technically happened this week, but it was not a situation where the cameras were rolling.

According to PWInsider.com, both Samantha Irvin and WWE Hall Of Famer Beth Phoenix were backstage at this week’s AEW Dynamite, but neither appeared on the show. Irvin is the fiance of Ricochet and Phoenix is married to Adam Copeland, with Phoenix and Copeland living in Asheville, North Carolina, where the show aired. The two are believed to have just been visiting and there is nothing to suggest either of them will have an on-air role in AEW at the moment.

Opinion: This is hardly a big surprise and there is nothing wrong with having some people who are related to AEW stars visiting with people backstage. While it would be nice to have them show up on AEW TV one day, their respective partners are doing well enough on their own. Not everything needs to be true to life and if things are working out well enough without them appearing, there is no reason to change it up.
