Special Guest Stars: Several Prominent Names Backstage At NXT Battleground

Remember them? WWE runs several major events a year with some of them being given a special time slot for the sake of getting extra attention. That is the case for the fans involved, but there are other people who might want to see the show as well. It seemed to be true with a recent event and now we know some names who were present for a recent special event.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: The Bloodline May Be Gaining Another New Member

Over the weekend, NXT presented its annual Battleground Premium Live Event. The show included TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace unsuccessfully challenging Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Title. According to PWInsider.com by way of Wrestlingnews.co, there were several guests backstage at the event. This included TNA President Anthony Cicione, TNA Executive Producer Ariel Shnerer, Gail Kim and Jonathan Gresham, the latter of whom is married to Grace. CM Punk was at the show as well and appeared in a video posted to WWE’s YouTube channel.

It was a heck of a show. Check out what happened at the event, both in the arena and backstage:

Opinion: That is the kind of thing that makes a show feel that much more important and hopefully everything wound up going as well as it could have. If nothing else, having Punk around there again helps bridge the gap before he can return to the ring. It helps make things more interesting and I could go for seeing more videos like that, as it adds another layer to the show.
