That’s a long time. There are some veterans on the WWE roster who are not around full time, meaning their appearances can be rather special. These wrestlers work on part time schedules, meaning they are not likely to be around for a lot of the regular WWE events. It is a treat when they are, and now it seems that one of them is going to be around for a few extra shows.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Time Off: Update On Bloodline’s WWE Status At Upcoming Event
WWE has announced by way of 411mania.com that Hall Of Famer Trish Stratus will be wrestling on a pair of upcoming live events. Stratus will be wrestling on August 19 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and on August 20 in Laval, Quebec, Canada. These mark the first time that Stratus has wrestled at live events since 2006. Her opponents for the shows have not been announced. Stratus is currently scheduled to face Becky Lynch in a steel cage match, which might be taking place at Payback.
Stratus has been on a roll since returning. Check out what she has been doing:
Opinion: This is one of those things that makes for a rather special moment for the fans in attendance. They aren’t going to get to see Stratus very often and bragging about it being about seventeen years since her last such match is quite the selling point. It wouldn’t surprise me if the cage match is it for Stratus’ current run in WWE and if so, it is nice to see her doing something like this as a bonus.
What do you think of Stratus’ current run? How will the cage match go? Let us know in the comments below.
