SmackDown Star In For Big Time Push

Ask and ye shall receive? One of the most interesting things to see in modern wrestling is a situation where the fans make their voices heard and are then given what they have been asking for. The most prominent version of this was the YES Movement as Daniel Bryan rose to to the top of WWE on the strength of the fans’ support. It can be done, and now the fans are trying to do it again.

The WWE women’s divisions have come a long way in the last few years, with SmackDown featuring some of the bigger stars around today. The division has been centered around Bayley and Sasha Banks for a good while, meaning that it is time to get someone fresh in there. There is one person who the fans seem to want to see and they are going to be getting their wish.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE has plans to push Naomi in the future weeks. Naomi had been the subject of a recent social media push with the hashtag of “Naomideservesbetter”. This led to her defeating Lacey Evans and a win over SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley, though she did not appear on the following SmackDown. There is no word on how WWE is planning to make the push work.

Opinion: I could certainly go for this as Naomi is one of the more underutilized names on any WWE roster. She has the talent, charisma and resume to make a run towards the title so why not let her have a chance? If the fans already like her, what could it really hurt at this point? You can’t run with the Horsewomen forever, so mix it up a little bit and see what you have right in front of you.
