Over there! WWE has quite the offering when it comes to television, with three nationally broadcast shows every week. This includes SmackDown, which airs on network television with FOX. That is quite the coup for WWE, as no other wrestling show airs in that kind of a spot. However, that kind of spot does bring some issues and one of them will be on display later this month.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Roman Reigns Accomplishes Yet Another Milestone During His Championship Run
According to PWInsider.com, SmackDown will be airing on FOX Sports 1 instead of FOX on July 21 due to coverage of the Women’s World Cup. There is no word on if any more episodes will be pre-empted in the future. SmackDown has been preempted on occasion over the years due to FOX’s sports coverage, with the most recent instance taking place on December 2, 2022.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that happens every so often for SmackDown and there is nothing wrong with that. At the end of the day, SmackDown gets quite the benefits from being on network television and occasionally they are going to have to deal with something like this. Hopefully the fans come over for the show, as it really has been doing some great stuff in recent weeks.
