It's Over: Six Month Old Streak Snapped On Monday Night Raw

It had to happen at some point. Wrestling is a weird sport in that while wins and losses matter, the results are planned in advance. What makes it more interesting is that fans can get behind the idea of a wrestler winning over and over, as it makes them seem like a bigger star. Every wrestler has to lose at some point though, and now one of the winning streaks has been broken.

The opening match this week on Monday Night Raw saw Kevin Owens defeat Solo Sikoa via disqualification when Jimmy Uso interfered. This was Sikoa’s first televised loss on the main roster, where he debuted back in September. Sikoa has yet to be pinned or made to submit on the main roster. This comes after reports of Sikoa being kept strong in preparation for a future feud with Roman Reigns.

Opinion: Sikoa is someone who feels like he could be a big deal down the line, and that is because WWE has made him into a force. This kind of a loss isn’t going to hurt him and the winning streak being broken is on much more of a technicality. I’m curious to see what is up next for Sikoa, as he could be turned into a force after he is given the time to be turned into a huge deal.
