WATCH SmackDown Star Turns Heel By Blinding Champion In Surprise Attack

To the other side? With so many wrestlers regularly appearing on television, there are times when something needs to be done to freshen them up. This can be done in a variety of ways, some of which are more drastic than others. One of the most common is to turn someone from either good to bad or vice versa, which seems to have happened again this week.

This week’s SmackDown featured a Championship Celebration with Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. However, before Belair could say anything, Asuka interrupted and sprayed her with blue mist. Belair had to received help from the athletic trainer to clear the mist from her eyes. This would seem to be a full heel turn for Asuka, who lost in her title shot against Belair at WrestleMania 39.

Opinion: I would assume you can call this a heel turn, though Asuka had already done this to Belair before their WrestleMania match. Maybe this is Asuka fully embracing the evil before a likely rematch with Belair (Night Of Champions would be a good place) but it isn’t exactly a hard turn. If nothing else, it might be time for Belair to get away from the title, as she has been champion for over a year at this point.
