She's Rowdy: Ronda Rousey Injured In Pre-SmackDown Brawl, Possible WrestleMania Implications

Ouch? With less than a month to go before WrestleMania 39, almost anything that happens on a WWE show is going to have some kind of ramifications on the upcoming big nights. Most of the stories have already been started but there is plenty of time for more things to happen on the way there. Another of those things might have happened this week and that could tie into a bigger story.

This week on SmackDown, a video showed Ronda Rousey being attacked earlier in the day by Tegan Nox and Natalya. As a result, Rousey’s arm was in a sling as she accompanied partner Shayna Baszler for her match against Nox later in the night. There is nothing to indicate that this is anything more than a storyline. This comes as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has said there will be many more “twists and turns” before the Women’s Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania. While the match has yet to be announced, Baszler and Rousey are expected to take part in it. There is no word on how many teams will be involved.

Opinion: There is a good chance that the sling winds up meaning nothing, but there is also the chance that we are in for a big ride on the way to WrestleMania. The Women’s Tag Team Titles have been getting a lot of attention in recent weeks and there is a good possibility that they will get even more of a focus as we run out of shows before the biggest one of the year.
