She's Out: WWE Hall Of Famer Confirms Departure From The Company

She would know. There have been all kinds of stars throughout WWE’s history and some of them have gone on to become legends through their work with the company. At some point, even those stars are going to leave though and it can become a big deal when one of them goes away. That has taken place again, but it seemed to have taken place a bit behind the scenes.

During a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, WWE Hall Of Famer Beth Phoenix has confirmed that she has departed WWE as her contract expired. Phoenix praised WWE and said she will always love it, including NXT, but said she wanted to explore what else is out there. It is not clear if Phoenix has any interest in joining another promotion, including AEW, where her husband Adam Copeland currently works.

Opinion: I don’t think this was much of a secret but it is nice to have Phoenix confirm what is going on. It isn’t like she was even a semi regular star in WWE and it wouldn’t surprise me to see her show up in AEW. She certainly doesn’t have to wrestle to prove anything I she doesn’t want to, but it could be cool to see a reunion with her husband in a different setting.
