She's Not Done: WWE Superstar Threatens Dominik Mysterio Following Payback

Threat or promise? Women’s wrestling has come a very long way in recent years and it has been quite a treat to see everything develop as well as it has. What matters most is that women’s wrestling is no longer a novelty, as women in the industry have been among the top stars. On very rare occasions, the women will hold their own against men, and now we might be seeing something similar.

Over the weekend, WWE presented its Payback 2023 event, which featured Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley successfully defending her title against Raquel Rodriguez. The match included interference by Ripley’s boyfriend Dominik Mysterio. Following the match, Rodriguez took to social media and threatened Mysterio, saying he was a “dead man walking” and saying “this is FAR from over”. There is no word on on a potential rematch against Ripley.

Opinion: That could make things interesting, as Rodriguez is one of the few women who can match up physically with Ripley but could also handle herself with Mysterio. There is a potential there that you don’t see very often and if WWE can make things work, we could be in for quite the moment for everyone involved. If nothing else, it keeps Ripley busy and that is a great thing to see.
