She’s In? Important Update On Mercedes Mone, Possible Announcement Coming Soon

She’s probably in? There are all kinds of stars throughout the wrestling world and some of them do not wrestle for one of the major promotions. As a result, it can be a big deal when one of them comes into either fold, especially if it is someone both sides want. While we don’t know for sure yet, it seems likely that one such star will have a new home in a pretty short amount of time.

According to Fightful Select, Mercedes Mone is expected to sign with AEW and multiple wrestlers believe she is expected to start in March, likely after the March 3 Revolution pay per view. WWE was reportedly told as late as December 29 that Mone would not be returning to the company, which included a return at the Royal Rumble. In addition, AEW President Tony Khan’s announcement next week on Dynamite will be related to Mone signing, though it is not expected to be a direct announcement.

Opinion: Mone is one of the top free agents in the wrestling world today and it makes sense that both WWE and AEW would want her. At the same time, Mone has already had a less than great time in WWE so maybe she wants a fresh start. That is what she can get in AEW and there is a very good chance that it is a better fit for her. It should be interesting to see what AEW has in store for her, which should be quite the moment.
