She’s In: Becky Lynch Makes Surprise NXT Appearance, Set For Title Shot

That’s a guest star. The WWE roster is split into three different shows, with Monday Night Raw and SmackDown as the main two and NXT as the developmental brand. While NXT is a step beneath the other two shows, it still offers quite high quality talent and winning one of its championships can mean something. Now we are set to see one of the biggest stars in WWE attempt to do just that.

This week on NXT, Tiffany Stratton retained the NXT Women’s Title over Kiana James. Following the match, Monday Night Raw star Becky Lynch appeared on the Titantron and announced that she would be challenging Stratton for the title next week in the show’s main event. This comes after Stratton has appeared on multiple Monday Night Raw’s and has exchanged words with Lynch.

Opinion: WWE hasn’t exactly made a secret about this match coming up and we should be in for a heck of a fight. Lynch is arguably the biggest name in the history of women’s wrestling and Stratton is the up and coming champion. While there is a chance that Lynch will win the title, Stratton getting a win over Lynch could be a game changer for her career. It should make for a showdown, and that’s what NXT is trying to do.
