She's Back? Former AEW Star Returning To The Ring After Nearly Four Years Away

That’s a long time away. Retirement is one of the most confusing concepts in wrestling as you never know when someone is going to really walk away from wrestling. Even if someone has left the ring, there is always the chance that they might come back later on. That seems to be taking place again, as a former AEW star with all kinds of potential is going to be returning to the ring.

Sadie Gibbs is a British wrestler who appeared for AEW in the early days of the promotion. However, she then left the promotion in 2019 and announced her retirement from the ring in 2021, with her most recent match taking place on October 30, 2019. Now though, Gibbs has posted a message to her Instagram page, announcing that she plans to return to the ring for the first time in nearly four years. In the post, Gibbs goes into her mindset over returning and some issues she has dealt with while away from the ring. There is no word on when or where Gibbs, 31, will return.

Opinion: That is some nice news to hear as Gibbs felt like someone who could have become a big star if she was given the chance. With less than five matches in AEW though, there is only so much that you can see from her time on the big stage. At the end of the day, Gibbs is someone who could be quite the prospect and become a breakout star. I’m curious to see what she can do, as she is still more than young enough to make a run in wrestling.
