Keep it in house. There are a lot of people who have to work together to make WWE what it needs to be. That means a large group of workers filling in a lot of roles, whether they are in front of a camera or not. Some of the names are people who are already famous wrestlers or performers and have moved on to work behind the scenes. Now one of them has a new role in WWE.

According to CBS Sports, Shawn Michaels has been promoted to WWE Senior Vice President Of Talent Development Creative. Michaels had been only Vice President of the same department as recently as last month. In the new role, Michaels will continue to oversee NXT and help launch NXT Europe next year. Michaels has worked for WWE since 2016, starting as a trainer and eventually becoming a producer before moving into his current role.

Opinion: I’m not sure how much of a difference the new position makes for Michaels but it does make sense to have him moved into a new spot with Triple H now in charge. Triple H is more or less running WWE and that means he is going to want his trusted advisors there too. Michaels is about as fitting of a spot as Triple H can ask for under those guidelines so this is hardly a surprise.

What do you think of the change? How has Michaels helped NXT? Let us know in the comments below.
