They’re off in a hurry. We are coming up on Survivor Series and that means it is time to get ready for one of the biggest shows that WWE presents every year. The event has been held since 1987 and has seen a large share of big title changes and moments, many of which are among the most memorable in company history. WWE already has an idea for this year as well and it sounds pretty good.
Over the last few years, WWE has presented Survivor Series as a show built around the idea of Brand Supremacy. The shows feature matches between Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, with the various champions facing each other in regular matches, but also some elimination matches as well. WWE is not wasting time in getting things ready and we already know some of the direction they are taking.
This week on Monday Night Raw, several members of the Survivor Series teams were announced. So far, three of the men’s team members have been announced along with all five from the women’s team. The men’s team will consist of AJ Styles, Keith Lee and Sheamus, while the women’s team will be Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke and Lana. It is not clear when the final two men’s participants will be announced. There is no word on if there will be any more Survivor Series matches announced.
It was a busy night. Check out how we got this far:
Opinion: This could be quite the night as these matches have worked out well before. It might not be as good as last year’s with NXT included, but right now NXT isn’t quite in the position to fight against these shows. What we are getting has some serious potential though and hopefully the show can live up to that. You never can tell with Survivor Series, which can make it either very interesting or very disappointing.
What do you think of the lineup? What/whom else should be added? Let us know in the comments below.
