It’s a different place. There are all kinds of prizes and championships for wrestlers to achieve in WWE but there is only one that lasts forever. That would be an induction into the Hall Of Fame, which the company has presented as its ultimate honor. It can be quite the moment for a wrestler to be inducted, but now WWE may be considering taking things in a different direction.

This month, WWE announced that Rey Mysterio will be the first inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame Class of 2023. This comes as Mysterio is currently feuding with his son Dominik. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has considered running an angle at the ceremony to set up the WrestleMania match between the two. However, the match was set up this week on SmackDown. There is no word on if WWE is still considering running an angle of some kind at the ceremony.

Opinion: This would be a different way to go and I’m not sure if WWE should go in that direction. The Hall Of Fame ceremony has been a special event for a long time and while it might make sense for Dominik to do something to Rey at the ceremony, that could take away some of the special feeling to the event. Maybe WWE will do it, but it might be better if they did not.
