You mean there’s a chance? Debuting back in 1999, SmackDown Live quickly became the WWE’s second biggest show, featuring matches from the company’s top stars. Over the years though, there has been a question about who the show’s top star was. You could make cases for a lot of names from Edge to Undertaker, but there is one more big name to consider, and he might be in the house for the show’s 1000th episode.

According to Joe Peisich from the Barnburner Podcast, WWE is pushing to get the Rock to appear at the 1000th episode of SmackDown Live on October 16. While Rock’s movie schedule tends to keep him too busy to appear for WWE, the show is a very special occasion and it’s Washington D.C. location is about an hour and a half away from Rock’s latest movie set in Canada.

He was around in the early days too.

Opinion: I’ll believe this when I see it but egads that would be a heck of a coup. The show is named after the Rock and it’s kind of hard to argue with him being one of the biggest names the show has ever had. I mean, it’s named after him. While it’s hard to imagine him actually showing up, I’ve been surprised before and if WWE can pull it off, well done indeed and it would be a cool moment.

Do you think Rock will show up? Who else do you want on the show? Let us know in the comments below.
