It’s a big step. The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the way the world works and professional wrestling is no different. There have been a lot of changes taking place and one of the biggest has been the lack of live fans in attendance. WWE has offered the virtual fans via the Thunder Dome but things are just not the same. Things will change eventually, and now we might know when that could take place.

We are almost to the start of the new year and that means it is almost time to get things moving again in WWE. The new year means we are almost on the Road To WrestleMania, which means a first stop at the Royal Rumble. That is one of the biggest shows of the year and the crowd counting down the clock for the entrances is a tradition. Now WWE has to make up its minds on if that will be a possibility.

According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, WWE has yet to confirm whether or not they will be allowing fans to be in attendance at the 2021 Royal Rumble. WWE is hoping for a decision to be made by January 7 with an announcement on the decision being made around that time. It is not clear how many fans would be allowed should WWE decide to let them in. At the moment, WWE is said to be 50/50 on the decision.

This is what you’re going for. Check out how loud things can get at the Royal Rumble:

Opinion: I’m rather surprised that WWE hasn’t had fans back in attendance yet, as several mainstream sports leagues have already allowed fans to be back. Maybe it has to do with the Amway Center being a closed arena but WWE seems to be anxious to get fans inside again, as they should be. The crowd can play a huge role in a show and WWE is going to need them sooner or later.

When will WWE allow fans back? How many fans will be in attendance? Let us know in the comments below.
