Well that’s one way to go. With the upcoming SmackDown Live move to FOX, it is clear that a lot of things are going to be changing in a hurry. Some of these changes are already coming together but at the same time, there are a lot of things that have yet to be determined. One of these things is commentary, and that could be one heck of a curve ball in the near future.

According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, the new Monday Night Raw announce team could be comprised of Vic Joseph and Dio Maddin. Joseph had been rumored to be taking over the lead play by play role while Maddin only debuted on commentary last week on 205 Live. Maddin is also an NXT wrestler who has only done commentary on a handful of shows. The new commentary team could debut as soon as next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

Since Maddin doesn’t show up on WWE’s YouTube channel, this is as good as I can have. Check out the finals of the Madden 17 UpUpDownDown tournament:

Opinion: This is going to fall under the category of I’ll believe it when I see it as this seems like something that is one of the more confusing moves that WWE could make. Maddin has done well in his very limited time on commentary, but how good could he really be in that little time? That’s a huge jump all the way to a live Monday Night Raw, but maybe he can be that good in a hurry. Otherwise, it could be a complete disaster.

Will WWE go with Maddin on Raw? Is that their best option? Let us know in the comments below.
