It can happen. There are a lot of wrestling matches every single week and a good number of them are held on national television. As a result, you are going to get to see quite a few different things on any given wrestling show. Some of these are going to be different than others, and that was absolutely the case during this week’s Monday Night Raw, with a once in a blue moon display.
This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw featuring a non-title match between Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte and Nia Jax. The match ran just shy of fourteen minutes and saw Jax drop Charlotte multiple times, including via a belly to back suplex without dropping down herself. The match included a variety of harder than usual looking shots, and it seems there is something more to it.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, the match turned into a shoot fight at times, with both women hitting each other outside of the boundaries of a normal match. The match also included multiple instances of both women seemingly not cooperating with each other. There were also multiple awkward slams and falls, with Charlotte reportedly sandbagging Jax on a Samoan drop attempt.
It was a crazy match. Check out some of the, ahem, highlights:
Opinion: This isn’t something you see very often but dang it was quite the moment. You could certainly tell that something was going on in the match and that is not something you want to see take place. I’m not entirely sure what was going on or who was at fault here, but that is not the kind of thing that you want to see happen at any time, especially in the middle of a live television show.
