That would be a big get. There are top names in wrestling history and then there is The Rock. After an all time wrestling career, The Rock moved on to Hollywood and became the biggest name in the movie industry. Either one of these things is amazingly impressive but he managed to do them both at a relatively young age. Every now and then, Rock will return to wrestling and now we might know where he will be next.
According to the Mat Men Wrestling Podcast, The Rock is expected to appear at this year’s Survivor Series, though there is no word on what he will be doing on the show. In addition, the Rock is expected to appear on WWE television shows leading up to the event. This will be the Rock’s first appearance on WWE programming since the September 4, 2019 SmackDown. The event will also mark twenty five years since the Rock’s WWE debut, which took place at Survivor Series 1996.
After making his debut at Survivor Series 1996, the Rock went on to join the Nation of Domination and become one of the brightest stars in the company. He would win his first WWE Title at Survivor Series 1998 and go on to feud with Steve Austin. The two would face each other at three WrestleManias, becoming the first pairing to ever do so. Rock would leave for Hollywood in 2003 before returning to make occasional appearances and winning his tenth WWE Title. He last wrestled at WrestleMania 32, defeating Erick Rowan in six seconds.
This could be huge. Check out some of the Rock’s great ones:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that WWE will do anything they can to make happen, as they should. There is no one bigger in the acting world than the Rock and he is also a huge wrestling star. Getting him for Survivor Series, or any show for that matter, would be huge and hopefully WWE would be smart enough to capitalize on it in any way that they could. Like, say, advertising it in advance.
