That’s a scary thing to hear. Last October, Roman Reigns was forced to vacate the Universal Title due to his leukemia coming back. Reigns returned a few months later and has since wrestled in some high profile matches, including at WrestleMania 35. He even won an ESPY Award for his big return. However, it turns out that things might not be going as well as they seem.

According to Tom Colohue of PWInsider on Twitter, Reigns is not back to the top of his physical form yet and is not back full time with WWE just yet. Since then, WWE has used him sparingly and had him appear in tag matches or shorter matches, including not having him appear on SmackDown Live for over a month. There is no word on when Reigns will be back to full strength, as the recovery could take longer than expected. There is also nothing to suggest that Reigns will be taking any time off.

Reigns can still do things like this. Check out him wrecking havoc at Monday Night Raw:

Opinion: This is far from the most surprising thing in the world as a disease that powerful is going to take some serious recovery time. It’s a serious condition and the fact that Reigns has been able to come back and do as much as he had is impressive. Hopefully he’s back to full strength soon, for his own sake rather than what works best for WWE. This is bigger than the company, as it should be.
