Return. There are a lot of wrestlers who have had to hang up their boots that we would love to see get in the ring one more time. Even if they got to retire on their own, the forces of nostalgia can be very powerful and fans always want one more match. It can be even worse if they are forced out of the ring before they are ready, though even if we want something to happen does not mean it is going to take place.

On Friday, a rumor broke that Edge was both medically cleared for an in-ring return as well as being signed to WWE. This would seemingly have been to set up one more match, possibly in Saudi Arabia for an upcoming event. However, Edge has since posted a message to his Twitter, saying “No I’m not and no I’m not.” While he is not specific about what he is not, it would seem to suggest that the report is not true.

What started it all. Check out Edge’s emotional retirement speech:

Opinion: As much as I would love to see Edge come back, even for one match, he doesn’t need to do it as he had a long and storied career with more championships than anyone in WWE history. Maybe he doesn’t want to do it again or maybe he can’t be medically cleared. Either way, it doesn’t seem to be happening at the moment, but maybe it will one day in the future.
