Not so fast? There are all kinds of stars throughout the wrestling world and occasionally they will be moving on to a different promotion. Some of these moves are telegraphed in advance, with a wrestler or promotion announcing that someone will be moving. That does not mean the destination is know though, and now we have an update on a previously reported rumor.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Two Down? Two Former WWE World Champions’ Contracts Reportedly Expiring Shortly After WrestleMania

Earlier today, a story broke that New Japan’s Kazuchika Okada was expected to be moving to WWE in the near future. However, according to Fightful Select, sources in WWE, AEW and NJPW have described the report as “premature”. While Okada could still wind up in WWE, it is not confirmed at this point. New Japan has announced that Okada will be leaving the promotion in the coming months.

Okada is a star. Check out what he can do in the ring:

Opinion: I’m not sure where Okada is going to wind up but you do not get a free agent of his status every day. It’s going to be a big deal whenever he makes his mind up and the promotion he chooses is going to get a heck of a star. Okada is not like most stars in the world and while he might not be going to WWE right now, there is still a strong chance for it to happen in the future.

What do you think of Okada? Where do you want him to sign? Let us know in the comments below.
