That could have been worse. There are all kinds of angles that a wrestling promotion might run for one reason or another. Some of these can be a lot more serious than others as many of them are designed to play on some more serious emotions. Those can be rather emotional if done properly and that was the case again, thankfully with things not being as serious as they seemed.

As seen on Twitter, NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov faced Ridge Holland this week during the NXT taping for next week. Dragunov is said to have been dropped on his head during the match and was taken out of the arena on a stretcher. However, according to Sean Ross Sapp, this is said to be a STORYLINE injury and Dragunov is fine. There is no word on what this will mean for Dragunov’s status as champion.

Thank goodness. Check out what a healthy Dragunov can do:
Opinion: That is quite the relief as you never want to see someone get hurt, let alone in a way that is so serious. Dragunov appears to have sold the injury rather well and thankfully everything seems fine. At the same time, it is a bit much to have Holland, who accidentally injured Big E. in a similar way last year, be used in a storyline that is so similar. What matters the most is Dragunov’s health though and that seems to be good.
