Not so fast? There have been a lot of changes to the AEW roster in the last few days, as the company is dealing with a sudden shakeup. Between the well publicized backstage brawl after All Out, Malakai Black was reportedly granted his release earlier this week. Those are the kind of changes that can shake up a promotion, but it seems that one other star is not going anywhere, despite reports to the contrary.
Earlier this week, a report appeared saying that AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa had requested her release from the company. However, according to Bryan Alvarez and, in a since deleted tweet, Rosa’s husband, this story is NOT TRUE. Rosa is currently out of action with a back injury, which resulted in an Interim Champion being crowned, as Toni Storm won the title at All Out.
Thunder Rosa did not request her release

Opinion: That is a big relief as Rosa is someone who has quite the value for AEW. She is still the Women’s Champion and it would be a shame to see her leave the promotion while injured. Hopefully she gets back to the ring sooner rather than later, but what matters the most is that she will be around at some point in the future. Rosa is too good to leave and thankfully she doesn’t seem to be doing so.
What do you think of Rosa? Who should she face when she returns? Let us know in the comments below.
