Heat on the Englishman? Around this time last year, Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne arrived in WWE and took the company by storm, having a classic in the finals of the WWE United Kingdom Title tournament. They went on to have a masterpiece at “Takeover: Chicago” with Bate looking like an even bigger star. But is there something going on underneath the surface?

According to “Wrestling Observer Radio” by way of Wrestlinginc.com, Bate has heat with WWE which dates back to early last year, even before Bate lost the United Kingdom Title in May. Allegedly the heat stems from WWE wanting Bate to appear on a main roster tour but Bate already had made plans and couldn’t make the bookings. The request was made close to the tour but Bate is in hot water anyway.

Here’s Bate’s latest effort on “205 Live”.

Tyler Bate vs. TJP: WWE 205 Live, Jan. 30, 2018

Opinion: I’m not sure I buy this. Bate has been on WWE TV quite a bit as of late and that isn’t going to hurt him in the long run. Just having him lose while still being on the show is only going to increase his exposure and make him a bigger star on the independent circuit. He’s still having great matches and it makes sense to keep him on TV, which gives the fans a treat. Maybe he’s in trouble, but I’m not sure I agree.
