That would explain a bit. Injuries can happen to anyone at almost any time and unfortunately there is no way to completely prevent them. Every wrestler gets hurt at some point and the only difference is how long they are going to be kept out of the ring. That is the case again with an AEW wrestler, but his time on the shelf might be a little bit shorter than expected.
According to Bodyslam.net, AEW’s Rey Fenix is out of action with a groin injury. The injury took place about two weeks ago and was scheduled to keep him out of action for six to eight weeks, meaning he could be back as soon as early July. There is no word on when Fenix was injured. He was written off of AEW television during this week’s edition of Dynamite when it was announced that the Young Bucks attacked him backstage.
Fenix is one of the best high fliers going today. Check out what he can do in and above the ring:
Opinion: Fenix is absolutely amazing to watch in the ring and it is great to see him at full health. Hopefully this is the kind of injury that heals up sooner rather than later, as Fenix’s health is ultimately what matters most. An injury like this is something that could stick around for a long time though, which is quite annoying in a lot of ways. Fenix is going to be a big deal again as soon as he is healthy though, as he can do things no one else is capable of pulling off.
