This week’s SmackDown opened with an in-ring promo from Paul Heyman, who announced that Roman Reigns will be entering the men’s Royal Rumble match. This comes after Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa on Monday Night Raw to become the official Tribal Chief. Reigns has won the Royal Rumble once before, with his victory coming in 2015. He has been runner up multiple times since. The Royal Rumble is set for February 1 in Indianapolis.

Opinion: I don’t think this is the biggest surprise as Reigns didn’t have much else to do other than come for the title again. He’s already one of the most successful names in the history of the Royal Rumble and there is a very good chance that he could have another awesome performance to add to that resume. For now, the Rumble field is slowly starting to take shape and that is a rather exciting time.
