That’s nice of them. The Coronavirus pandemic has caused a lot of issues for the wrestling world but it has also changed things for the wrestlers themselves. While the promotions get most of the attention, there are also a lot of issues for the individual wrestlers. Some of them had some very rough times over the year, but at least one company has done a lot to help its roster out.

While AEW and WWE receive a lot of the attention, there are several other wrestling promotions out there. Some of them are are lucky enough to have a rather widespread outlet, including Ring of Honor, which is available in syndication around the United States. That makes them one of the bigger promotions going today and that lets them do something nice for the wrestlers.

According to Fightful Select, several Ring of Honor wrestlers have said that the company has not extended their contracts, despite the several months that the promotion was on hiatus due to the Coronavirus. Ring of Honor was inactive from early April until mid-September, airing only Best Of shows in the meantime. It was also noted that WWE has not extended contracts either, but may in the future.

The company has done well since coming back. Check out their exclusive YouTube match:

Opinion: That’s rather nice of Ring of Honor as it is hardly fair to lock down wrestlers to contracts when they are out of action due to circumstances outside of their control. Ring of Honor might not be the biggest promotion in the world but they are doing something to help their wrestlers out a little big. I’ve liked Ring of Honor’s efforts since their return and hopefully something positive gets them some more attention.
